About the session
The French-German Dialogue on Generative AI brought researchers, policymakers, startups, and industry representatives to Nuremberg on November 18–19, 2024. Sessions covered data collection, compute requirements, talent, privacy, sustainability, bias, and regulation in European foundation-model development.
I represented NORMA in the panel “Industry Perspectives on Developing European Foundation Models,” moderated by Prof. Dr. Daniel Cremers. My contribution covered evaluation frameworks for deployed generative systems, with an emphasis on behavioral testing in applications rather than isolated model benchmarks.
